Bitmap – Bitcoin ATM Map

This handy little Android app by Gefara allows you access to a map of the crypto world in the palm of your hand. This is the simplest and easiest app to find Bitcoin/crypto ATMS near you. One click and you have access to every ATM in your area.

Features:

- Interactive map showing Bitcoin ATMs near you or anywhere else in the world.

- Full information given about each ATM including:

o Operating hours

o Fees

o Limits

o Cryptocurrencies available

o Transactions supported

o Photos of the ATM

The app hasn’t been downloaded by very many people and there are only 52 total reviews, however, it seems like most people have really enjoyed using this map. Upon downloading Bitmap, I was informed of all of the ATMs in every convenience store in Taiwan (where I am currently traveling)! I was surprised, I didn’t know every 711, Family Mart, etc had a machine that allows the purchase of cryptocurrencies and even the ability to pay for goods with your crypto.

I’d say the app is very handy for people who do not use or do not have access to online exchanges. Bitcoin ATMs typically charge pretty hefty fees and aren’t always easy to use. With that said, it may be the fastest and easiest way to obtain crypto in a hurry. Bitmap is definitely an interesting little app!

Pros & Cons
  • Incredibly easy to use and kind of fun to check out what’s available in your area.
  • I found a few countries where, after researching, the map isn’t showing ATMs. I’m not sure if this is just a matter of not supporting specific areas or not being updated.
