FroggyBSC Scam Review 2026: What Happened to FROGGY?

By Nate Urbas — Founder of CryptoLinks.com, crypto trader, Bitcoin miner, and long-term HODLer

Last updated: June 2026

My Quick Verdict on FroggyBSC

I consider FroggyBSC an abandoned BNB Smart Chain meme-token project associated with a reported rug pull. I would not buy FROGGY, connect my wallet to its website, or treat the current version of FroggyBSC.com as proof that the original project has returned.

The FROGGY token still exists on BNB Smart Chain, but that does not make it an active or trustworthy investment. By June 2026, its trading activity and available liquidity had fallen to almost nothing. The project that once promised to revive the entire BSC meme-coin market has effectively become another forgotten low-liquidity token.

For me, the warning signs are not limited to the token’s collapsed price. FroggyBSC combined an anonymous team, exaggerated profit-focused marketing, modifiable contract settings, a rapidly completed presale and no product that I could verify independently. The project was later identified as a rug pull, while the original community and development activity disappeared.

My rating: Scam / reported rug pull — avoid.

What Was FroggyBSC?

FroggyBSC appeared in September 2023 as a meme coin on BNB Smart Chain. Its token used the symbol FROGGY and the following contract address:

0x4C561c1ef2109fc6b230304b114671F72820421B

The project claimed that a group of experienced BSC developers had joined forces to revive the network’s declining meme-coin market. Its marketing repeatedly spoke about becoming a “unicorn,” creating huge profits and building the largest and most profitable community.

I have seen this language many times while reviewing small crypto projects. Ambition is not a problem, but promises of enormous profits are not a replacement for named founders, working technology, transparent finances or a realistic business plan.

FroggyBSC claimed to have 20 implementation members and five key team members. What I could not find was more important: verifiable names, professional histories or clear evidence showing who was responsible for investors’ money.

For a project supposedly supported by numerous respected developers, the people behind it remained remarkably difficult to identify.

The Froggy Presale and Token Launch

Froggy conducted its presale through PinkSale on September 25, 2023. According to the archived sale information, the presale opened at 13:00 UTC and reached its 100 BNB hard cap by 13:10 UTC.

That means the entire public sale was completed in approximately ten minutes.

The token had a maximum supply of 420 billion FROGGY. The presale allocated about 120.12 billion tokens to buyers, while approximately 61.26 billion tokens were intended for liquidity. The PinkSale page stated that 51% would be allocated to liquidity and that the liquidity would remain locked for 366 days.

FROGGY was subsequently announced for trading on BitMart, with the FROGGY/USDT market scheduled to open on October 16, 2023.

At first glance, a completed PinkSale campaign, locked liquidity and an exchange listing can make a project look more legitimate. I never treat those things as proof that a team is honest. A token can pass an automated contract check, lock part of its liquidity and obtain an exchange listing while still being promoted by anonymous people who later abandon it.

What Happened to FroggyBSC?

A later investigation published by crypto.news described FROGGY as a rug pull that took place in early 2024. According to that report, early investors provided liquidity and helped the token gain value before the developers drained liquidity and the price collapsed.

The report calculated that FROGGY had fallen approximately 99.95% from its all-time high.

The market data I checked again in June 2026 tells the same general story. One BSC tracking service showed the token trading at roughly $0.00000001375, with approximately $592 in liquidity and no meaningful 24-hour volume. Other trackers showed no active markets or only negligible trading.

A token with a few hundred dollars of liquidity can still display a price, but that price may be practically meaningless. A moderately sized sale could move the market dramatically or fail because there is not enough liquidity available.

This is why I do not describe FROGGY as an active meme coin. It is better understood as a leftover smart contract and an almost empty trading pool attached to an abandoned project.

Was the FROGGY Contract a Honeypot?

I did not find enough evidence to describe FROGGY as a traditional honeypot where every ordinary holder was technically prevented from selling.

Current automated scanners classify the contract as relatively low risk for a honeypot and suggest that ownership was probably renounced. However, the same analysis identifies modifiable taxes and a whitelist mechanism. The verified contract also included functions that allowed its owner to change buy, sell and transfer taxes, exclude addresses from fees, change the marketing wallet and manage automated market-maker pairs.

BscScan does not show a submitted independent security audit for the contract.

None of this proves by itself that the contract was malicious. It does show why I would never rely only on a green checkmark from an automated scanner. A team does not need to create an obvious honeypot to harm investors. It can control liquidity, hold large token allocations, use privileged wallets, dump tokens or simply abandon every promise after raising money.

A token remaining sellable after its collapse does not clear the people who promoted it.

Is FroggyBSC.com Still Active in 2026?

The FroggyBSC.com domain is online again, but I cannot verify that the current website is operated by the original FROGGY team.

When I checked it in June 2026, I found a collection of generic articles about the future, price potential and investment prospects of a Froggy cryptocurrency. Many of these articles were published on the same date. The contact email displayed by the website used a completely different domain unrelated to FroggyBSC.

The site did not give me convincing evidence of an active development team, current roadmap progress, audited treasury, restored liquidity or compensation for former holders. I also did not find reliable proof that the original developers had returned.

A domain coming back online does not mean the original project has returned. Expired crypto domains are frequently purchased, repurposed or used to attract traffic from people searching for an old token.

I would therefore treat the current website as unverified. I would not connect a wallet, approve a token, sign a message or follow purchasing instructions displayed there.

Why I Keep FroggyBSC on the CryptoLinks Scam List

I keep FroggyBSC in my scam category because the overall history leaves me with no reasonable basis for recommending it:

  • The team promoted large profits without providing verifiable identities.

  • The presale collected 100 BNB in around ten minutes.

  • The project had no substantial working product that I could verify.

  • A later investigation identified FROGGY as a rug pull.

  • The token lost virtually all of its peak value.

  • Trading activity and liquidity became negligible.

  • The original project was abandoned.

  • The current website does not provide convincing proof that it is controlled by the same team.

I would reconsider the classification only if the people behind FroggyBSC provided verifiable identities, signed proof from the original project wallets, a transparent accounting of presale and liquidity funds, and credible evidence that affected investors had been compensated.

Until that happens, my conclusion remains unchanged.

Safer Alternatives to FroggyBSC

I would not replace one unknown frog-themed token with another newly launched meme coin. I would first research the contract, liquidity and wallet distribution independently.

My crypto scam list contains other projects and websites I believe crypto users should avoid.

Before buying any small token, I also use several of the tools included in my guide to the best rug-pull and honeypot scanners. These services can help identify dangerous permissions, concentrated ownership, unlocked liquidity, unusual taxes and selling restrictions.

Anyone specifically looking for meme-coin exposure can compare more established projects in my top meme coins section. I still consider every meme coin highly speculative, but there is a major difference between a liquid, widely tracked asset and an abandoned token with only a few hundred dollars left in its pool.

For token swaps, I would use one of the established platforms in my best decentralized exchanges guide and always verify the contract address before approving a transaction.

Can Old FROGGY Holders Recover Their Money?

I am not aware of an official refund or recovery process for FROGGY holders.

Anyone offering to recover lost FROGGY funds in exchange for an advance payment, wallet connection or seed phrase should be treated as another potential scammer. Blockchain transactions cannot normally be reversed, and legitimate support personnel never need a wallet recovery phrase.

I would keep the old tokens visible only as a record of what happened. I would not pay additional fees to “unlock,” “migrate” or reactivate them.

Final FroggyBSC Review

FroggyBSC entered the market with the usual meme-coin formula: an anonymous team, a fast presale, aggressive community marketing and claims that early buyers could participate in something enormous.

What remained was a token more than 99.9% below its peak, negligible liquidity, little meaningful trading and no verifiable active project behind it.

The fact that FroggyBSC.com is online again in 2026 does not change that history. Until I see strong cryptographic and financial proof connecting the current website to a legitimate team, I will continue treating the domain cautiously and keeping FroggyBSC on the CryptoLinks scam list.

My final verdict: I would avoid FroggyBSC and FROGGY completely.
