BitLox is a hierarchical deterministic hardware wallet which supports Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Bitcoin Gold. The support is very limited compared to other hardware wallets. Users control their private key and it is stored on the device itself. Users are provided with a mnemonic phrase to recover the wallet in case it becomes lost or stolen. Wallet recovery is completed on the device and users do not have to link up to an external device to complete the recovery. Users can also set a custom passphrase for identity verification.

The wallet has no multi-signature functionality. The code is not open-source. The wallet is supported in a number of languages. Users can apply pin protection at multiple levels. Pin protection can be applied to the device, the wallets, and also transactions.

BitLox is available on iOS, Android, and PC. There are two devices offered, the Advanced model and the Ultimate model. The BitLox Advanced is currently priced at $98 making it cheaper than competitors. The BitLox Ultimate is priced at $148 which is more expensive than many competitors. One of the key features of BitLox when compared with other hardware devices is that it can operate without any external device. All other hardware wallets require an external device such as a mobile or PC in some capacity. Because BitLox is a newer wallet, it lacks the reputation that other hardware wallets have built.
