Its reported statement says he met policymakers associated with the White House, SEC and CFTC to discuss advancing tokenization and on-chain finance. What I can verify from accessible reporting is that Injective made that claim and news outlets repeated it. I could not independently establish the precise meeting date, venue, names of individual attendees or a jointly announced outcome. Some reports describe Wednesday, October 14; others refer to October 15.

That distinction is important. Meeting a White House-associated official does not mean meeting the president or visiting the White House building. Speaking to regulators is not a government partnership, procurement contract, rulemaking decision, exemption or endorsement.

There is an earlier, separate piece of official evidence: the SEC logged a January 13, 2026 meeting with representatives of Injective Labs, Injective LLC and the Injective Foundation. That public record demonstrates prior engagement, but it does not verify what happened during the newly reported October conversations.

My reading is that policy access can make a financial-infrastructure story more visible. I could confirm the company announcement and secondary reporting, but not the entity’s Form TA-1 registration record, definitive effective date or current status in an accessible primary SEC registrant record. Those details need a final pre-publication check.

A transfer agent maintains securityholder records and processes changes to ownership. It is an important, specific market function—not a blanket license for a blockchain. Injective also links some application revenue to its Community BuyBack mechanism, in which committed INJ is burned. Those are plausible economic connections between activity and the token. They do not mean every mortgage record or tokenized receivable forces an institution to buy an equivalent dollar amount of INJ.

The supply story needs care. Injective said IIP-617 was approved in January to tighten issuance alongside buybacks and burns. But lowering the rate of new issuance is not identical to shrinking total supply. Staking locks tokens for participation; it is not a permanent burn.

There is also a meaningful disclosure discrepancy. The October 16 CoinMarketCap page displays about 100 million INJ as total and maximum supply. Yet a September 2026 Canary Staked INJ ETF prospectus filed on SEC.gov says the initial supply was 100 million, the network has no fixed maximum, and total supply was 122,895,808 INJ as of September 15 after issuance and burns. That same issuer-filed prospectus reported a then-prevailing annual issuance rate of 4.40%. An issuer filing hosted by the SEC is not an SEC finding or an ETF approval, but this is a specific reason not to repeat “fixed supply” or “guaranteed deflation” uncritically.

In other words, the test is new issuance versus actual burns, tracked over time to determine the net change. I would want verified fee generation, transactions from real customers, consistent buyback execution and an explainable current circulating/total-supply methodology before assigning a lasting token-value effect to enterprise announcements.
